Hailing from Melbourne, Australia and fuelled by a love of vintage country music and classic honky tonk, come NO SLEEP TILL TEXAS. Wearing their influences well and truly on their western, stud button sleeves, this six piece are throwbacks to when country music was exactly that.
Paying homage to their own heroes, the likes of Buck Owens, Merle Haggard, Waylon Jennings, Doug Sahm, Dwight Yoakam, George Jones and others, this Melbourne outfit deliver an honest and bare bones brand of honky tonk. Seamlessly weaving their own original musical creations, written by their frontman Rick Hart, with a great selection of vintage country and honky tonk from yesteryear.
No Sleep Till Texas are a good time band !! Feeding off the energy that emanates from the dancefloors and crowds wherever they play. Since their birth in mid 2022, they've built a loyal and strong following, filling venues and dancefloors all across the expanses of their home state.
They have become a staple of the Lightning and Rhinestones family, regularly gracing the special L&R events and bills as the resident honky tonk band. 2024 also saw them play two sets of their bare bones honky tonk at the Out On The Weekend festival, alongside many well renowned international artists (Hurray For The Riff Raff, Uncle Lucius, Nick Shoulders, Joshua Hedley) and amazing local acts.
No Sleep Till Texas are Rick Hart (vocals, acoustic guitar), Luke Callahan (drums), Brendan Mitchell (pedal steel, vocals), Paul Robertson (electric guitars, vocals), Colin McNeil (bass) and Vanessa Hart (vocals).
